Marlins Edge Pirates in Thrilling Walk-Off Victory

The Florida Marlins came from behind to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2 on Sunday, capping off an exciting four-game series. Griffin Conine hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 2-2.

In the bottom of the ninth, Derek Hill scored the winning run after being walked with two outs and stealing second base before advancing to third on a throwing error. The Marlins took an early lead thanks to Andrew McCutchen’s solo home run in the top of the second inning.

The Pirates threatened later but were thwarted by a key catch made by Miami outfielder Kyle Stowers, who robbing Enmanuel Valdez of extra bases at the warning track. With this win, the Marlins completed their first three-game series sweep since 2003 and improved to 4-0 on the season.
