A new study suggests that some Martian glaciers may contain up to 80% water ice, challenging previous assumptions about their composition. The research, conducted using NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, found that these glaciers can be described as “relatively pure ice deposits,” paving the way for future resource utilization by potential Mars settlers.
