Martin Short has achieved a milestone in Saturday Night Live history, becoming the latest member of the Five-Timers Club. The 74-year-old actor was celebrated by fellow club members during his Dec. 21 episode, including Tom Hanks and Tina Fey. Host Jimmy Fallon presented him with an official five-timers club jacket.
During the show, Short took part in various sketches, showcasing his versatility as a performer. He played roles such as a man involved in a parking lot altercation, an airport employee reporting on travelers during Christmas, and a drama teacher critiquing A Charlie Brown Christmas. Hozier also made a return to the show as musical guest, performing songs from his EP Unheard.
The latest addition to the SNL cast includes Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline. Meanwhile, Punkie Johnson, Chloe Troast, and Molly Kearney have stepped away. The remaining cast members will continue with their roles in the upcoming season.
