Comedy duo Martin Short and Steve Martin were set to perform their “The Dukes of Funnytown!” tour at the Durham Performing Arts Center on Saturday, February 22. However, due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis in Marty’s camp, the shows have been postponed until October 18.
Ticket holders received notice late Thursday night and early Friday morning, with options to refund their tickets or resell them through Ticketmaster or Stub Hub. The comedians’ Instagram post announcing the postponement stated that they will be funnier on the new date.
Short and Martin have worked together since their 1986 film “Three Amigos!” and co-star on the hit TV show “Only Murders in the Building.” Their upcoming DPAC show was expected to feature a mix of humor, self-deprecation, and rapid-fire jokes at the expense of Hollywood and celebrity culture.
