Marvel Games and NetEase Games have launched Season 0 of Marvel Rivals, a new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter. The game is now available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Games Store, and the official website.
Season 0 features 33 heroes, all unlocked and free to play at launch, with players able to assemble an ever-evolving squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains. The season also includes 8 maps for Quick Match and Competitive modes, a Conquest map, and a new Practice Range.
The opening season, dubbed “Doom’s Rise,” is set in motion by Doctor Doom’s time experiments colliding and unleashing the Timestream Entanglement. Players can participate in the ‘Entangled Moments’ seasonal event to unlock spray rewards, gallery card rewards, and stories upon completing tasks.
To celebrate the global launch, Marvel Rivals will also feature a Twitch Drops event, where players can earn exclusive in-game rewards by watching their favorite streamers. A global launch gift is also available, redeeming a special code for a FREE Iron Man costume.
The game’s soundtrack, “Marvel Rivals: Galactic Tunes,” will be released on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music platforms on December 6th, featuring 19 tracks from the game’s main theme to maps-specific tracks.
Marvel Rivals is powered by Unreal Engine 5, with advanced technologies like Lumen Global Illumination and Chaos Destruction system. Players can choose heroes split into three distinct roles: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist, teaming up with allies for dynamic battle collaborations using Team-Up Abilities.
