Marvel Rivals, the new hero shooter, may have microtransaction prices rivaling those of Overwatch 2. According to recent leaks, the game’s in-game store offers MCU skins for sale, with prices ranging from $16 to $33.
If Marvel Rivals follows industry convention, one MCU skin would cost around $24, making it appear more affordable than some Overwatch 2 legendary skins. However, players will receive a fully animated MVP scene and other exclusive content with the purchase of these skins.
NetEase has confirmed that Marvel Rivals’ premium currency will cost $1 for 100 coins, but it’s exchangeable for the game’s free currency at a 1:1 rate. The company hasn’t commented on whether these prices will hold up when the game launches on December 6 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Players will be able to earn in-game currencies through challenges or battle passes, similar to other competitors. Marvel Rivals already features 33 playable characters, with fans debating whether another character was hidden in a recent trailer.
