Marvel Rivals Mid-Season Patch Preview Arrives

Marvel Rivals is set to release its mid-season patch on February 21 with the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing, but an early preview has given us a glimpse into how the heroes will be balanced. XOXLeak, a reliable source, has leaked details on the changes coming in the update.

The patch appears to bring about a mix of nerfs and buffs. NERFS include Storm’s Wind blade damage reduced by 10%, Star Lord’s Ultimate cost increased from 1200 to 1800, and Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters recharge time decreased by 0.5 seconds. On the other hand, buffs can be seen in Venom’s Frenzied Arrival knockback changed to an inwards angle at a 75° angle, Captain America’s ability to use absolute will for defense during jumping, and Thor’s removal of cooldown after his Rune Awakening skill duration ends.

Other changes include Groot’s increased wall size, Scarlet Witch’s Ultimate granting 100 bonus HP, Black Widow’s rifle capacity increase to 15, and Adam Warlock’s Primary Fire damage increased from 55 to 60. NERF/BUFF MIX changes include Iron Fist’s reduced base HP and damage output, Loki’s increased ultimate cost, and Magik’s reduced spell damage.

The patch is expected to balance the game, but some changes may be tweaked or adjusted before its release. XOXLeak thanks fans for their patience, and new updates can be found on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky, and Instagram.
