Maryland Faces Off Against Ohio State in Big Ten Debut

Maryland (7-1, 0-0 B1G) takes on Ohio State (5-2, 0-0 B1G) at the XFINITY Center in College Park, MD, as part of its Big Ten play. The game is set to tip off at 6:30 PM and will be a White Out event.

The Terps enter this matchup riding a four-game win streak, with a strong home record of 6-1 this year. They are averaging 86.8 points per game, the fourth-best average in program history, and are giving up just 58.6 points per game, ninth nationally.

Maryland has seen significant improvement from last season, increasing its scoring average by 16.1 points per game and reducing its opponents’ scoring average by 4.1 points. Four players on the team are averaging double figures in scoring, a marked increase from last year’s three.

The Terps have several notable performers, including sophomore Rodney Rice, who has shaken off rust to start the season with standout performances. Freshman Derik Queen leads the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game and is part of an exceptional national class of 2024-25 freshmen.
