Intel is set to officially reveal its Battlemage Xe2-based discrete graphics cards on December 3rd. In anticipation of this announcement, Chinese PC hardware manufacturer Maxsun is showcasing a custom version of the same GPU, dubbed the Arc B580. The B580 boasts a triple-fan design with a black shroud and is expected to have a core clock that could exceed 2.8 GHz in factory-overclocked variants.
The latest addition from Maxsun is likely to compete directly with Intel’s Battlemage series, which includes the Arc B570 GPU. Although details on the B570 are scarce, it’s rumored to feature 18 Xe2 cores and a boost clock of up to 2.6 GHz. The company may choose to launch both editions simultaneously or delay the B570 release.
Maxsun has gained popularity through its affordable GPUs, particularly the old Radeon RX 580 card. Its success on Amazon is attributed to competitive pricing. With the Arc B580, Maxsun aims to expand its product lineup and attract more customers in the market for discrete graphics cards.
