Maxx Crosby Named Eastern Michigan Football Assistant GM

Maxx Crosby has been appointed as the Assistant General Manager for the Eastern Michigan University football program. The move marks a significant step in Crosby’s career, allowing him to balance his playing role with an official position at his alma mater.

Crosby, who recorded 20.0 career sacks and 41.0 tackles for loss during his time at EMU, will be responsible for evaluating high school and transfer portal prospects, managing the team’s NIL/revenue share budget, and assisting in fundraising efforts. He will also provide mentorship and support to student-athletes.

This appointment is a historic milestone for Eastern Michigan, as Crosby becomes the first active player to hold an Assistant GM role at their college. The university has also renamed its “LEO” defensive position to honor Crosby’s name, with his jersey number 92 being retired for the team’s top edge rusher.

EMU head coach Chris Creighton expressed his excitement about having Crosby on staff, stating that he is a shining example of what it means to build something meaningful over time. The coach believes that Crosby’s passion for mentoring and developing players will make him an invaluable asset to the program.
