McDonald’s Brings Back Beloved Snack Wrap After 7 Years

McDonald’s is reviving its long-lost menu item, the Snack Wrap, after a dedicated fanbase has been clamoring for its return. The wrap features chicken, lettuce, cheese, and a tortilla will debut on July 10 to help boost sales, which have been declining due to economic concerns. A change.org petition with over 19,000 signatures has kept fans hopeful that their favorite snack would make a comeback.

In 2016, the Snack Wrap was removed from menus after franchisees complained about its complexity. However, some locations continued to serve them until 2020, when McDonald’s eliminated it completely. A rival chain, Wendy’s, jumped into the market with its own grilled chicken ranch wrap in 2023, which has been compared to the original Snack Wrap.

The return of the Snack Wrap comes as McDonald’s struggles to regain lost ground after a sales decline for two consecutive quarters. The company is hoping that the revival of this beloved item will provide a much-needed boost to its sales and customer base. A social media post attributed to a manager at the fast-food chain claims that fan engagement was the driving force behind the decision, saying “your endless comments… created a movement.”
