Alicia Force, a musician from Missouri, was one of those fans who started a Facebook group to urge McDonald’s to bring back the Snack Wrap. The group gained 86 members, and a Change.org petition also gathered nearly 19,000 signatures. This grassroots movement has paid off, as McDonald’s is now bringing back the Snack Wrap.
The new version will be available in two flavors: Ranch or Spicy, with fried chicken being the only option for US customers. While some fans may be disappointed by this decision, it’s part of a broader strategy to simplify the menu and make it easier for employees to execute.
In an effort to attract price-conscious customers during inflationary times, McDonald’s believes the Snack Wrap’s lower price point will be a major draw. Additionally, with health concerns on the rise, the smaller size and tortilla casing of the wraps are expected to appeal to consumers looking for a more balanced meal option.
The move is also seen as an opportunity to compete with rival fast-food chains that have introduced their own chicken wraps in recent months. With McDonald’s same-store sales struggling, this limited-time offering could be just what they need to boost customer interest and drive sales.
