McDonald’s Brings Back Snack Wrap After 9 Years

McDonald’s is reviving its popular Snack Wrap after nearly a decade of absence in the US. The return marks a testament to customer demand, with nearly 19,000 signatures on a Change.org petition and over 1.4 million views on a TikTok video showcasing fans enjoying the snack wrap in Ireland.

The new Snack Wrap will go on sale July 10, offering fried chicken in two flavors: Ranch or Spicy. The company has also simplified the preparation process to ensure faster service at its 13,500 US restaurants. However, some loyal fans may be disappointed by the limited options compared to international markets where Snack Wraps are still available.

The snack wrap’s revival comes as McDonald’s faces challenges in a sluggish fast-food market. Sales have been affected by inflation, with the average check at a US restaurant rising 41% from 2019. In response, McDonald’s has introduced a limited McValue menu and increased deals to attract customers.

The Snack Wrap’s lower price point is expected to lure back inflation-weary customers, while its smaller size and tortilla casing appeal to health-conscious consumers. By reviving this item, McDonald’s aims to tap into the growing demand for chicken-based options in fast food.

“We listen to our fans, and the Snack Wrap’s return is a testament to that,” said McDonald’s US President Joe Erlinger. The company will continue to monitor customer feedback and adjust its menu accordingly.
