In today’s fast-paced business environment, having the right information at the right time can make all the difference in client meetings. Senior colleagues at McKinsey now have a powerful new tool, the McKinsey Value Intelligence (MVI) Assistant, to help them do just that.
Developed on Google Cloud using Gemini, MVI Assistant is designed to surface essential news, insights, and trends from a vast repository of 50,000 public companies. This allows leaders to build trust, deliver high-value advice, and deepen client relationships.
The tool offers several key features, including:
* Reviewing key topics and questions from latest earnings calls
* Comparing company peer sets to identify strengths and weaknesses
* Preparing clients for potential investor questions
* Providing nuanced insights into competitor dynamics and market reactions
MVI Assistant extends the capabilities of McKinsey’s existing Value Intelligence Platform, which has produced insights for over a decade. The new tool uses gen AI to reduce the time it takes to extract information from vast amounts of unstructured data.
The design of MVI Assistant was built around usability, with a streamlined click-first experience that puts relevant content just one search away. Colleagues can simply enter a company name into a search bar and quickly access key topics, recommended analyses, financial benchmarks, news, and related firm content.
Gemini’s model is able to handle a larger context window, allowing non-technical team members to conduct most of the prompt testing and curation. The platform uses LangServe prompt workflows to deliver curated content at the click of a button, making it an essential tool for McKinsey colleagues.
