McLaren Unveils MCL39 Car Ahead of 2025 Formula 1 Season

McLaren’s 2025 Formula 1 challenger, the MCL39, has made its track debut at Silverstone Circuit as part of a promotional filming day. The car was driven by team members Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who shared driving duties in the one-off geometric camo papaya and black livery.

The MCL39’s 2025 livery will be revealed at the official season F1 75 Live launch event at The O2 on February 18. McLaren is targeting the successful defense of the Constructors’ Championship, having triumphed for the first time in over two decades last season. They are also seeking to win the Drivers’ Championship for the first time since Lewis Hamilton won in 2008.

“We’re excited to see the MCL39 hit the track for the first time,” said Team Principal Andrea Stella. “We know the grid is highly competitive, so we must stay focused to compete at the front.”

The team has worked hard to prepare for the start of the season and learned valuable lessons from their battles last year. Norris and Piastri are optimistic about the car’s performance ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

“We’re feeling positive but focused,” said Norris. “We want to retain our Constructors’ title and go for the Drivers’ Championship as well.”
