Measles cases in Oklahoma have risen to 12, with nine confirmed cases and three probable cases reported by state health officials. The latest risk-of-exposure notices were issued for two locations: Northwest Pediatrics of Oklahoma City and the Aldi grocery store.
The outbreak has prompted concerns among public health officials, who are urging individuals who visited these locations during specific times to take precautions. Those who are unvaccinated or unsure of their vaccine status are encouraged to fill out a form with their contact information, as health officials will reach out to them directly.
Individuals who may have been exposed and are not immune through vaccination or prior infection are advised to self-isolate for 21 days from the date of their potential exposure. This comes after the last risk-of-exposure notice was issued for Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health on March 23, where people were in close proximity to those infected.
