Measles cases have been reported in several US states, with four individuals from Navajo County, Arizona, diagnosed with the disease, according to the state’s health department. The patients were not vaccinated and had recently traveled internationally.
In Colorado, two new measles cases were confirmed, including a child who received one dose of the measles vaccine before traveling to Canada, where the outbreak is concentrated. Another case was reported in Arapahoe County, Colorado, linked to an individual who flew while infectious at Denver International Airport.
Texas has also reported 744 cases, with the pace of infections slowing down. The outbreaks continue in West Texas, affecting four counties: Dawson, Gaines, Lamar, and Lubbock. Cases have also been reported in New Mexico and Oklahoma, although no new cases were reported recently.
