Meat Products Recalled Due to False USDA Mark

A New Jersey-based company, Sabrositos Hondurenos, LLC, is recalling about 32,000 pounds of various meat products due to a false USDA mark of inspection. The recalled products include chorizo sausage, pork chops, and ribs, with various dates produced before August 20, 2025.

The items were shipped nationwide to retail locations and restaurants and are labeled with the non-existent establishment number “EST. 1785.” The affected products include:

– Homestyle chorizo
– Smoked pork chops
– Smoked chorizo
– Cased homestyle chorizo
– Smoked BBQ spicy chorizo
– Smoked ribs

The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has not received any confirmed reports of adverse reactions, but warns consumers that the products are misbranded and unsafe to eat. Consumers can contact the company owner, Diego Funez Garrido, at 908-274-4206 for more information on the recall.

FSIS advises checking their website for updates as more items may be added to the recalled product list.
