Meet Oppo Find N5, World’s Thinnest Foldable Phone

The Oppo Find N5, touted as the “world’s thinnest book-style foldable phone,” is set to launch on February 20. As one of the most anticipated foldables, we got our hands on this device early and took note of its key features.

Design-wise, the Find N5 takes thinness to an extreme, with some reports suggesting it measures only 4.2mm when folded. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is 5.6mm thick. The phone’s sleek design, featuring a beveled flat frame and symmetrical camera block, makes it look stunning in white or black.

However, while its slim profile is undeniable, there are some trade-offs. The phone’s compactness means that even small features like the USB-C port and SIM tray feel minimal. Additionally, the camera block, which houses three Hasselblad-tuned cameras, doesn’t add much depth to the overall design.

Despite these compromises, the Oppo Find N5 still manages to look impressive. Its matte marble-like texture on the back panel gives it a unique aesthetic, while the alert slider on the left side is a nod to its OnePlus heritage.

One of the most significant advantages of the Find N5’s thinness is that it helps mitigate the common issue of heavy foldables. Weighing less than other similar devices, this phone makes for easier handling and storage.

While we can’t comment on its performance just yet, one thing is certain: the Oppo Find N5 deserves its slim title. With a global launch date set for February 20, American users will likely get to experience this device soon enough.
