Meghan Markle, 43, has finally revealed the name change for her lifestyle brand, which was previously called American Riviera Orchard. In a new video shared on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex explained that she secured the name “As Ever” in 2022 and decided to unveil it now that her Netflix show is coming out.
Markle stated that she had initially chosen the name American Riviera because it reminded her of her neighborhood in Santa Barbara, but felt limited by its association with only local products. With the help of Netflix, which partnered with her on both her show and business ventures, Markle decided to adopt a new name that better reflects her brand’s expansion.
The As Ever lifestyle brand will include items such as fruit preserves, and its official launch coincides with the premiere of Markle’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” next month. The streaming giant is also reportedly supporting the brand by offering products featuring Markle’s logo at their merchandise store.
Royal expert Hilary Fordwich has weighed in on Markle’s future, stating that her success depends heavily on her partnership with Netflix and that she faces stiff competition as an influencer.
