Meghan Markle has rescheduled the release of her new series, “With Love, Meghan,” on Netflix due to the ongoing Southern California wildfires. The show, a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California, was initially set for a January 15 premiere but is now expected to air on March 4.
The Duchess of Sussex requested the delay in order to focus on supporting those affected by the fires in her home state of California. Netflix has confirmed their full support for Markle’s decision, citing the need to prioritize the needs of wildfire victims and their families.
Markle, a native of Los Angeles, attended the all-girls Catholic Immaculate Heart High School, before sharing her latest venture on social media last month when she returned to Instagram after five years. The series will reimagine the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversations with friends.
The couple’s multiyear deal with Netflix came about after they stepped away from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020. Their previous projects on the platform have been well-received, including the docuseries “Harry & Meghan” in 2022, which earned a large one-day audience for any Netflix series since monitoring began.
Markle will also be visiting Southern California with her husband Prince Harry to support wildfire victims and relief efforts. The pair met with Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo on Friday to discuss their efforts.
