Meghan Markle, 43, has given an insight into her life in Montecito as Duchess of Sussex. The couple, who have been living on their sprawling estate since quitting royal duties in 2020, have rarely spoken about how they integrate with the local community. However, Meghan revealed that despite being in a “unique situation”, she and Prince Harry enjoy a sense of normalcy.
The duchess shared that her children, Archie and Lilibet, are treated like any other kids in town, and she’s made new friends as a stay-at-home mom. Meghan attends local yoga classes, often with 40 to 50 people, and feels at ease walking into the studio like a regular person.
Meghan also spoke about forming connections with women who have normal jobs, not in the public eye. They share girls’ nights out and participate in activities like Pilates together. The Duchess believes this normalcy is essential for her children’s well-being despite their royal status.
While details of Prince Harry’s daily life are scarce, it is believed he also enjoys a similar amount of normalcy as Meghan. The couple has lived in Montecito with their children since 2020 and have been enjoying activities like dog walks on the beach and bike rides.
