“Melissa Gilbert Tributes Beloved ‘Little House’ Co-Star Jack Lilley”

Beloved actor Jack Lilley, best known for his roles in the classic TV series “Little House on the Prairie,” has passed away at 91. His co-star and close friend Melissa Gilbert shared an emotional tribute to her late colleague on Instagram.

Gilbert remembered Lilley as a kind mentor who taught her how to ride a horse when she was just a child. She also highlighted his long and distinguished film and television career, including reuniting with her on the Western pilot “Then Came Jones,” which starred Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The two actors shared fond memories of working together, particularly during the production of “Little House” at Paramount Studios and Big Sky Ranch. In a touching farewell, Gilbert quoted Shakespeare’s phrase “Oh Jack…sweet prince…” and referred to Lilley as her nickname “Halfpint.”
