Meta CTO Scolds Employees Over Policy Disagreements

Meta’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Andrew Bosworth has strongly criticized some employees who are frustrated with the company’s recent policy changes. According to an internal chat, an employee expressed concerns about the cutting of diversity and inclusion (DEI) programs and the silencing of dissenting voices within the company.

Bosworth responded by saying that any employee who thinks it is acceptable to leak sensitive information to the media over policy disagreements should consider looking for a new job. However, when another employee pointed out that blaming leaks was not an effective solution, Bosworth reiterated that if someone feels disrespected or unhappy with the company’s policies, they should quit.

The exchange reflects the growing internal tensions at Meta as it implements significant changes to its moderation standards and DEI efforts. The company has recently begun layoffs for employees who are deemed “low performers.”
