Meta is expanding access to its artificial intelligence assistant, Meta AI, on Ray-Ban smart glasses in seven additional European countries. Starting next week, users in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland will be able to interact with the AI using voice prompts for general questions.
The move comes as part of a broader rollout of Meta AI technology in Europe, which was initially announced last year but faced delays due to regulatory concerns. The company’s expansion into European markets is seen as an attempt to attract new users while bolstering its AI infrastructure, estimated at billions of dollars.
The updated Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will also feature real-time language translation functionality and a live translation feature, which will be rolled out across its markets.
