A group of French publishers and authors are suing Meta Platforms Inc., alleging that the company used their books without permission to train its generative AI model, sparking intellectual property concerns. The SNE trade association, along with authors’ association SGDL and writers’ union SNAC, filed a complaint in Paris court, citing copyright infringement and seeking resolution.
