Meta Platforms Inc. has added Daniel Gross, a former CEO of Safe Superintelligence Inc., to its new AI superintelligence lab. The lab aims to develop artificial intelligence (AI) technology with human-level competency, known as superintelligence. As part of the team, Gross will focus on creating AI products that match or exceed human capabilities. This move comes after Meta restructured its AI unit and embarked on a significant hiring spree to recruit industry experts in AI development.
