Meta’s smart glasses with a small heads-up display (HUD) are reportedly set to ship in October, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The company has been working towards releasing the product, codenamed Hypernova, which is expected to be priced over $1000.
Hypernova features Meta’s long-in-development sEMG neural wristband for finger gesture controls and will likely focus on visual multimodal AI. Apple’s competing smart glasses, dubbed N50, are also in development and share similar features.
Meta Connect 2025, scheduled for September 17, is expected to mark the official announcement of Hypernova and potentially open preorders for shipping in October.
