METALLICA Brings Live Music to LA’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction

Metallica’s fourth “Helping Hands Concert & Auction” took place on December 13 at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, benefiting All Within My Hands (AWMH), a non-profit organization founded by the band to support workforce education and local services. The event featured performances by METALLICA, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Kenny Aronoff, and SistaStrings.

METALLICA’s setlist included both acoustic and electric tracks, including covers of Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s “Away From Home” and Diamond Head’s “Helpless.” The band also debuted two new songs with the sisters-turned-classically trained duo, SistaStrings. All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction benefited AWMH.

The foundation has raised over $15 million since its establishment in 2017, providing grants to career education programs and disaster relief efforts. METALLICA’s commitment to philanthropy extends beyond this event, with the band having donated a portion of “M72” tour ticket sales to local communities visited during each tour stop.

METALLICA and AWMH have worked together since 2017, with Peter Delgrosso serving as executive director since January 2022. The organization’s mission is to create sustainable communities through workforce education, fighting hunger, and other critical local services.
