Meta’s Free Speech Overhaul Raises Advertiser Concerns

Meta is reworking its ‘free speech’ features, sparking unease among advertisers who rely on the platform for their campaigns. The changes will allow users to access premium content without paying a subscription fee of €69 per month.

However, this shift has raised concerns among advertisers who invest heavily in Meta’s advertising platform. The Financial Times notes that over a million readers pay to access its journalism, indicating a potential loss of revenue for the company.

The new changes also do not include access to ft.com or the FT App, and subscribers will need to sign up individually to access premium content on any device.
