This April, stargazers will have a treat as two meteor showers converge in the sky. Additionally, the Andromeda galaxy, our closest galactic neighbor, will be visible to the naked eye. Furthermore, scientists are excited about an upcoming phenomenon called “earthshine,” where the reflected light of the Moon’s surface illuminates the darkened Earth.
WNYC’s astronomy expert Rosemary Misdary joins Weekend Edition host David Furst to discuss April’s astronomical highlights and share these celestial events with listeners.
