Mets Give Soto Luxury Suite and Premium Tickets in Record Deal

New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto will receive a luxury suite and up to four premium tickets behind home plate for all regular-season and postseason games as part of his record-breaking $765 million, 15-year contract. The deal includes provisions for personal team security for Soto and his family during spring training and all games at Citi Field.

Soto’s new contract exceeds Shohei Ohtani’s previous deal with the Dodgers by $65 million over nine years. The agreement also guarantees Soto will wear uniform number 22, which he wore with the Nationals, Padres, and Yankees in previous seasons. Young third baseman Brett Baty will now wear number 22.

The Mets’ suite for Soto has a value equivalent to prevailing prices, allowing him to modify or give it up by January 15 each year. Premium tickets can be requested up to 72 hours before the scheduled game time.

Soto also receives significant award bonuses, including $500,000 for winning his first MVP and up to $1 million for subsequent MVP awards. He will earn $100,000 for All-Star selections, Gold Glove awards, and other accolades.
