The media mogul attributes his generosity to wanting to experience satisfaction from giving, saying “I’ve never understood people who wait until they die to give away their wealth.” This year’s list highlights top givers, including public health groups and educational institutions, donating a total of $16.2 billion last year, with 41% coming from the top three donors on the list.
