Michael Che Apologizes for Vulgar Joke About Scarlett Johansson’s Body on SNL

Michael Che has apologized to Scarlett Johansson after making a vulgar joke about her body during a “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday Night Live (SNL) last year. The joke, which compared her vagina to “Costco roast beef,” was part of a segment where Che and his co-anchor Colin Jost swapped jokes.

Che explained that he made the comment because he’s jealous and embarrassed about his own body. He confessed that he’s never seen a human vagina and feels self-conscious about his nipple count, which is apparently higher than a pregnant dog’s.

Johansson appeared on stage to take Che’s apology, and she good-naturedly replied, “Yes, I have heard that about you.” The segment has sparked controversy and criticism from fans, with some accusing Jost of playing his wife for laughs at her expense.

Last year, Jost made several jokes targeting Johansson’s age, their baby, and their sex life during a holiday edition of SNL. However, the most brutal joke was directed at her age, saying she looked like she “must be over 50” after giving birth to their son Cosmo.

The incident has raised questions about sexism and misogyny in comedy, with some calling for greater accountability from male comedians who make sexist or misogynistic comments.
