A new study highlights the potential of Chlorella vulgaris, a freshwater microalga, as a sustainable “superfood” that could address global food security challenges while benefiting the environment. This nutrient-dense microalga offers a promising alternative to traditional crops, requiring minimal land and water resources for cultivation.

Rich in protein, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, Chlorella vulgaris can enhance the nutritional value of food products, providing antioxidants, immune support, and detoxifying benefits.
