To maximize benefits, doctors recommend consuming at least 50 milligrams of anthocyanins per day, which translates to about one cup of blueberries or half a cup of blackberries. A balanced diet rich in fiber-rich foods and cruciferous vegetables can also help reduce microplastic toxicity.
Additionally, minimizing plastic use in food preparation and storage, filtering drinking water, and avoiding heating food in plastic are all steps that can be taken to reduce exposure to microplastics.
