Microsoft 365 Services Temporarily Down for Users

Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, were briefly offline for users on Saturday afternoon due to an issue with suspected broken code. According to data analytics platform Downdetector, there was a significant spike in reports of Microsoft 365 outages around 2 p.m. Arizona time.

The tech company confirmed the issue and stated that it was investigating a problem affecting Outlook features and services. However, by 2:45 p.m., Microsoft reported that a fix was imminent after reverting the suspected code.

As the company worked to resolve the issue, users could access the service health page on the Microsoft website, which initially indicated that various Microsoft 365 products were impacted. The affected products included Microsoft Teams, email server Hotmail.com, and calendar service Live.com.

By around 4 p.m., Microsoft announced that the impacted services had returned to a healthy state, with additional updates expected later in the day to ensure stability and address any remaining issues.
