Microsoft 365 Users Get Access to Copilot AI Assistant

Microsoft has announced that its popular productivity suite, Microsoft 365 Personal and Family, will now include the company’s AI-powered assistant, Copilot. This move is part of a broader effort to make the tools and features of Microsoft 365 more accessible to a wider audience at a great price.

The addition of Copilot is part of a larger plan to deliver new apps, features, and benefits to its subscribers over the past decade. With the inclusion of Copilot in Microsoft 365 Personal and Family, users will have access to an AI assistant that can help with tasks such as meal planning, budgeting, and creating visually appealing images.

One of the main benefits of Copilot is its ability to make life easier for users. For example, with Copilot in Word, users can create polished recipes ready for cooking by simply entering their dietary preferences and servings. In Excel, users can analyze their current budget spreadsheet and get started on updating it for the new year.

Microsoft has also introduced a new app called Microsoft Designer, which allows users to create and edit images using AI-powered tools. Users can upload photos to Designer and use AI to remove unwanted objects or create unique images that complement their recipes.

To reflect the extensive benefits of Microsoft 365 Personal and Family, prices are set to increase by $3 USD per month in the US for the first time since its release. Existing subscribers will not experience this price change until their next renewal. However, users with recurring billing enabled can switch to plans without Copilot or AI credits.

Microsoft has also taken steps to ensure that customers have control over their experience and are committed to protecting user privacy. The company ensures that it does not use user prompts, responses, or file content when training its AI models.
