Microsoft has announced that it’s removing a popular command line used to bypass signing into a Microsoft Account during Windows 11 setup. However, another bypass method has already been discovered. The new bypass uses the “start ms-cxh:localonly” command in the command prompt and allows users to create a local account without needing an internet connection first.
The process is streamlined compared to the old method, which required a restart and slow progression through the setup experience. Users can test this method on the latest Windows 11 preview build 26200, but it’s unknown how long this bypass will work due to Microsoft’s potential crackdown on such methods in the future.
