Microsoft is introducing a new feature that allows users to check their network speed directly from the taskbar. The built-in speed test tool, rolling out in the Release Preview Channel, enables users to right-click on the network icon and access a speed test option in their default browser.
With this update, users can measure the speed of their Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular data connections. This convenient feature is expected to offer an alternative to checking connection speeds by visiting third-party websites. The new tool is part of a broader set of updates, including camera settings and new emoji additions.
Windows 11 Insiders in the Release Preview Channel can check out the update, which is currently available for versions 24H2 (Build 26100) and 25H2 (Build 26200).
