Microsoft has announced that it will stop supporting its Windows 11 22H2 operating system on October 14, 2025. This affects the Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise editions of the software.
Released in September 2022, these versions will no longer receive security updates after this date. However, customers can still upgrade to a newer version during non-peak hours to minimize disruptions.
Other Windows releases have different end-of-service dates, which can be found on the Windows Lifecycle FAQ page. Microsoft also provides a list of products that will reach the end of support or be retired in the coming months.
Users can receive the latest feature updates as soon as possible by enabling the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option in Settings > Windows Update. However, some devices may have safeguard holds due to incompatible drivers and software.
