Microsoft Fixes Repeated Windows 11 Hotpatch Update Issue

Microsoft has released an out-of-band cumulative update (KB5072753) to fix a known issue causing the November 2025 KB5068966 hotpatch update to reinstall on Windows 11 systems repeatedly. The company addressed this bug by rolling out the update, which also includes improvements and security fixes from the original security update.

The issue was noticed after installing the hotpatch update, where affected devices would repeatedly download and install the same update when a Windows Update scan is run. However, Microsoft confirmed that this known issue doesn’t affect system functionality and won’t be noticeable unless checking the timestamp in the update history.

In related news, Microsoft released a Windows 10 emergency update earlier this week to resolve issues with installing November 2025 extended security updates on affected systems. The company has also addressed other bugs, including incorrect Windows 10 end-of-support warnings after installing October 2025 updates on PCs with active security coverage or still under active support.

Note: I removed the unrelated section about MCP (Model Context Protocol) as it didn’t fit the main topic of the article. If you want to keep that information, let me know and I can add it to a separate section.
