Microsoft Raises Price of Microsoft 365 Bundle by $3 per Month

Microsoft has announced that it will increase the price of its Microsoft 365 bundle for consumers by $3 a month. The move comes as the company adds its Copilot artificial intelligence assistant to popular applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.

The subscription benefits included in the new pricing will enable Microsoft to deliver new innovations for years to come, according to Bryan Rognier, vice president of Microsoft 365 Consumer. Existing customers with the Microsoft 365 suite will see the new prices upon renewal.

The changes affect both Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans, with a monthly price increase from $6.99 to $9.99 for Personal, and from $9.99 to $12.99 for Family, which can accommodate up to six users. The annual price increases are also more substantial, jumping from $69.99 to $99.99 for Personal, and from $99.99 to $129.99 for Family.

Additionally, consumer subscribers will gain access to Microsoft Designer, an AI image editing tool. However, existing customers can switch to plans without Copilot or other AI features for a limited time.
