Microsoft Reveals Plan to Revamp Windows 11 with Performance, Reliability, and Experience Enhancements

Microsoft is set to address the growing concerns surrounding its operating system, Windows 11. After a recent backlash over AI additions, the company’s chief, Pavan Davuluri, has outlined plans to rebuild trust by focusing on key areas: performance, reliability, and user experiences. The initial wave of changes will be previewed in April, addressing issues such as automatic restarts, notifications, and unnecessary features like Copilot integration.

The first round of improvements aims to enhance File Explorer with a quicker launch experience, reduced flicker, smoother navigation, and better performance for everyday tasks. Furthermore, the widgets section is expected to receive more personalization options and quieter defaults in the coming months.

Microsoft’s long-term goals include overhauling Windows 11 with a focus on well-crafted experiences, which will be achieved through ongoing efforts to improve performance, reliability, and user experiences throughout the year.
