Microsoft Rolls Out Windows Recall AI Feature on Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft has confirmed that its AI-powered feature, Windows Recall, is now rolling out to all users with Windows 11 KB5055627 on Copilot+ PCs. The feature captures the user’s screen and allows them to quickly find and jump back into what they’ve seen before.

Recall was originally announced in May 2024 as a flagship feature of Windows 11 and Snapdragon-powered “AI” PCs. However, security concerns led Microsoft to rework the feature, making it completely optional and filtering out passwords and sensitive information.

The new version of Recall will begin rolling out with the May 2025 Patch Tuesday Update. Users can expect to see improved functionality without compromising on privacy and security.

Note: Recall is a screen capture feature that helps users recall specific moments or files from their PC, using everyday language to describe what they’re looking for. It will start shipping after nearly a year of announcement.
