Microsoft Sends Warning for End of Windows 10 Support

Microsoft is sending emails to users with a reminder that support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. The message warns that after this date, users will no longer receive free software updates or security fixes.

However, many older PCs cannot upgrade to Windows 11 due to hardware requirements. A nonprofit group estimates that around 1 billion machines will be stuck on Windows 10 by October 2025.

To address this issue, Microsoft suggests that users either upgrade to Windows 11 or recycle their old machines. However, for those who want to stick with Windows 10, the company offers a one-year extension of security updates for $30.
