Microsoft is working on a new feature in Windows 11 that aims to explain how less RAM or a weaker GPU might affect your PC performance. The latest preview builds of the operating system include a new Frequently Asked Questions section, with answers related to GPU memory, system RAM, and even OS versions.
According to Microsoft watcher phantomofearth, the new FAQ is currently hidden away in the Dev Channel build of Windows 11 and must be manually enabled. The feature includes answers about low RAM or recommended settings for GPUs with less than 4GB of memory. It also checks if you’re running the latest version of Windows 11.
It’s unclear how dynamic this FAQ list will be, but it may adapt across multiple systems based on your hardware configuration. Microsoft used to use a score system to rate PC hardware, starting with Windows Vista, but this new feature aims to provide more specific guidance for users struggling with performance issues.
