Microsoft is warning its 800 million Windows 10 users that they must upgrade to Windows 11 by October 2026 to receive security updates. However, the company has announced a new 12-month extended support option for these users at a cost of $30 per PC.
The move comes as Microsoft struggles to convince users to make the switch from its ageing operating system. Despite repeated ads and reminders, many users are hesitant to upgrade due to concerns over the benefits of Windows 11.

However, just as the push for users to upgrade is underway, another issue has emerged: the troubled AI-powered feature, Recall. This feature was recently launched in the Dev channel but is plagued by bugs, including issues with saving screenshots.
