Migrate Purchases Between Apple Accounts with Ease

Apple has finally introduced a feature that allows users to migrate purchases from one account to another, giving them the flexibility to consolidate their content into a single primary account. This new feature is especially useful for those who have multiple accounts with scattered purchases or old music, movies, and apps.

To start the migration process, users need to sign in to both accounts, turn on two-factor authentication, check for active rentals, spend any leftover credit, update payment methods, and initiate the migration process. Once complete, users can sign out of the secondary account and access their merged purchases.

The feature is available for Apple IDs that aren’t child accounts and haven’t been previously migrated. Users must meet specific requirements, including sharing the same country/region, having valid payment methods, and not having active purchases or rentals from the last 15 days.

Once the migration is complete, all eligible apps, music, movies, and books from the secondary account will be transferred to the primary account, along with the secondary account’s payment methods. However, cloud data like photos, notes, and files will remain unchanged.

Users can undo the migration at any time, but they’ll lose any purchases made after the migration and must wait a full year before trying again. Apple has provided a support page with detailed information on how to migrate purchases between accounts.

This new feature is a significant improvement for Apple users who want to simplify their content management. By consolidating purchases into a single account, users can save time and hassle when searching for content across multiple accounts.
