Minnesota Ban on PFAS-Containing Products Ruled Valid

A federal judge has upheld a law passed by the state of Minnesota that prohibits the sale of consumer products containing intentionally added PFAS, a type of chemical linked to environmental and health concerns. The Cookware Sustainability Alliance challenged the law, claiming it violated the Constitution’s commerce clause. However, Judge ruled against the alliance, stating that the law does not unfairly discriminate against out-of-state businesses or interests.
